We've been making solid shampoo since LUSH's first days. Back then we couldn't afford bottles so we combined our needs with our belief that making solid products is better because it means they can be preservative-free. Even though we can afford bottles now, we still love our solid shampoos and you will too. These are some of the most effective cleansing and conditioning products you'll ever put on your head. Product inventors Helen Ambrosen, Mo and Mark Constantine formulate them carefully so choose yours with equal care to suit your needs and solve your problems.

Dr Peppermint Solid Shampoo Bars

Here’s a great alternative to the excellent New Shampoo Bar if you fancy a bit of a change. The invigorating minty tingle will stimulate your scalp and give those lazy hair follicles a good prod. Godiva Solid Shampoo Bars

Sexy, jasmine-scented, two-in-one Shampoo (and conditioner) Bar. Godiva is named after the woman who famously rode through the streets of Coventry with only her long flowing locks to cover her modesty. She was protesting against the taxes which her husband was planning to introduce. Godiva has the same sensual, jasmine scent as Flying Fox and it makes your hair soft. No need to protest if you want to get your husband to change his mind; just wash your hair with this.

A dynamic pink shampoo bar for normal hair. To keep your ‘normal' hair perfect, wash with this irresistible bar. It will leave your hair shiny and full bodied. The perfume is made with neroli and jasmine to scent it with incredibly sensual florals throughout the day.

Lavender and juniper Shampoo Bar to control oily hair. Along with spots and exams, oily hair can be one of the most annoying things to torment your teenage years. Jumping Juniper cleans away grease and balances sebum production with lavender oil. We scent it with our beautifully calming but mentally elevating Karma fragrance. It has toning orange oil plus pine and patchouli to help keep your scalp soothed and free of the problematic microbes. Gentle Lentil Solid Shampoo Bars

This solid shampoo is so soft and gentle, it's perfect for use on dry hair and on children's wispy locks. Traditionally, Indian women soak lentils overnight and wash their hair with them. Lentils are packed with protein to nourish hair and add loads of shine. The added bonus is the gorgeous soft fragrance that wafts from each bar.

The Joy of Jelly Shower Jellies

 Fancy a bit of slap and tickle? Share a sensual shower jelly. Pink and purple swirls of lily and rose jelly ought to be enough to entice anyone to share a shower, especially if it's a bit of a squeeze. Add a sensual fragrance of ylang, jasmine and a smattering of musk (the synthetic one that's kind to animals) and you'll be fighting off the volunteers. Just don't forget to wash your hair and body with it while you're in there.

Anti-jetlag jelly for keeping you calm, cool and focused. Have you noticed the way that time speeds up as deadlines approach? 'Whoosh' is the sound they make as they rush by. To slow time down, what you need is a Whoosh shower, with its ultra-refreshing essential oil blend of the citruses (plus lemon, lime and grapefruit juices) with revitalizing rosemary and balancing geranium, which we put in there to wake you up a bit, but not too much. It's very green because we make it with fresh mint and apple juice; we perfume it with invigorating peppermint and stimulating spearmint plus warming clove bud. A Ring of Roses smells of sweet oranges and lemons, as well as genuine Turkish rose absolute. This skin softening, soothing body soap has the same fragrance as Amandopondo, but surrounded in an infusion of larkspur, honeysuckle, marigold and cornflowers, it smells completely different. Use it when you need calm for your skin and your mind.

Queen of Hearts is one of the few soaps with which you are allowed to wash your face - because we say so. QoH is made with a base of rose petal infusion, so it's gentler on your face than body soaps.
